Background: Master Gardener. Volunteer at Olbrich Gardens since 2000.

First Interest in Gardening: Inspired by my grandmother’s garden that contained a vast array of flowers, fruits, and vegetables.

Size of Garden: One-third acre city lot is mostly part sun/part shade.

Favorite Garden Style: Admire all styles but the Japanese Zen garden is among my top favorites. The contemporary styles of designers, Piet Oudolf and van Sweden, I find very attractive, along with those beautiful English gardens.

Pets: Lily, aka Waterlily, an active 7-year-old standard poodle, who loves all the wildlife in my yard: the rabbits, mice, voles, and especially those noisy chipmunks.

Hobbies/Interests: Gardening, of course, visiting gardens; the visual and performing arts; and the beautiful natural areas in our state.

Personal Items of Interest: Conservation of our precious natural resources.
